I didn't change everything. I'm still the dutiful daughter. I still room with you instead of at the school dorms. I still work at mother's company. I'm pretty sure the parts I'm changing make your team happier in the long run.

Look. It's obvious David and I will never get along. His estimation of me will never rise, nor mine of him. Because he can't keep his mouth shut and gave HYDRA so much fuel to use against me. You specifically asked for him on the team. I don't want to invalidate that choice. He gets along fine with the rest of the team.

I'm not asking you to be friends with David. Feel free to hate him. Just consider how long you're going to carry the grudge against the rest of them. Try and consider the circumstances. You've never said anything you didn't really mean about someone when they weren't listening?

I don't bear any ill will toward the rest. I just gave them what they wanted. And no, I haven't. My intentions toward people is pretty clear. If I can't say it in front of them, it isn't something worth saying at all.
