Just give yourself some time. You might not get back to exactly that, but you can get to a close approximation. Maybe even better.

I... don't mind you spending time with Misha. If that's what you think you need. I... just... whatever makes you happy.

I just... *sighs* If he had been around, you never would have started dating Alex. Though you would be feeling a different kind of misery, I guess. *shrugs* That's why I want you to find something that makes you happy.

Misha is... a confusing thing for me. I'm in two entirely separate pieces around him. The one half that thinks I'm not good enough for him anyway and it's no wonder he picks girls like Becky over me. And the other, admittedly smaller, half that thinks we could make each other happy if given half the chance.

I just... don't know if that chance will ever happen. And I'm so scared of carrying him around with me for the rest of my life as a regret. *sigh*

I can't think of anything that you could or would do to make me that way. Anything like that is out of the realm of possibility.

It's something different. I think it's a nice color. Not something the old me would have done.

It's... very vibrant. And purple is a good color. It's just a bit of a shock. I'll get used to it.

Are you trying for an entirely different you? Or just changing some things?

Mmm. I wouldn't agree. Perhaps there were parts of the old you that didn't work, but isn't it a bit scary to change everything all at once?

I didn't change everything. I'm still the dutiful daughter. I still room with you instead of at the school dorms. I still work at mother's company. I'm pretty sure the parts I'm changing make your team happier in the long run.

Look. It's obvious David and I will never get along. His estimation of me will never rise, nor mine of him. Because he can't keep his mouth shut and gave HYDRA so much fuel to use against me. You specifically asked for him on the team. I don't want to invalidate that choice. He gets along fine with the rest of the team.

I'm not asking you to be friends with David. Feel free to hate him. Just consider how long you're going to carry the grudge against the rest of them. Try and consider the circumstances. You've never said anything you didn't really mean about someone when they weren't listening?

I don't bear any ill will toward the rest. I just gave them what they wanted. And no, I haven't. My intentions toward people is pretty clear. If I can't say it in front of them, it isn't something worth saying at all.
